PROJECT DESCRIPTION | |||||||||||||||||||||
SUMMARY The proposed project will deal with the phenomenon of migration and colonization as manifested by European countries at different times. Our aim is to study the mutual cultural influences between coloniser and colonised peoples. We will focus on key areas of life such as language, politics, art, philosophy, traditions, and what elements of these effects are identified in the current social reality of these peoples. To implement the proposed project we will work with schools from European Union countries, which have played an important role in colonial expansion to other regions and we will study together their “historical journey” through the centuries. Different partners' national histories cover this "historical journey". Greek colonisation and the Roman Empire created a culture and disseminated it from the Iberian Peninsula to the Black Sea, this culture was later diffused all over the world by the Portuguese, Spaniards and French. Meanwhile, the Balkans witnessed a sequence of migrations that made up complex societies where minorities live together with dominant peoples. |
